Luxin Coal Mine is located in the Inner Mongolia Xilin Gol League Wulagai management Area, 17 kilometers east of Bayin Hushuo town, started construction in June 2008, has completed the "extremely broken soft rock support and integrated excavation rapid construction supporting technology" 13 provincial and ministerial level technical achievements, was selected by the China Coal Industry Association as the quality management group activities advanced unit.

The designed production capacity of the mine is 5 million tons/year, the service life is 62 years, and the coal reserves are 911 million tons. The coal is of high quality lignite with low ash, low sulfur, low phosphorus and high oil content. It is a good coal for power and fuel.

The mine is located in the hinterland of the grassland, the land is vast and sparsely populated, and there are still power supply risks. Therefore, it is necessary to add emergency power supply to the existing power supply system.

This project is for the application of diesel generator + photovoltaic power generation + energy storage. In the emergency case of sudden power failure of the mine grid, the non-essential load will be removed from the 10kV bus, and the energy storage system will discharge to provide stable power supply for the first-level security load of the coal mine. At the same time, it is compatible with the access of 6MW photovoltaic and 800kW diesel generators to provide charging power for the energy storage system.

FGI provides a fixed emergency power energy storage system for this project, which consists of a set of 10kV 4MW/8MWh high-voltage direct-mounted energy storage system. The high-voltage direct-mounted energy storage system is equipped with the power station energy management system (BMS) to carry out data acquisition, operation monitoring, automatic charge and discharge control of the energy storage station, and prepare remote sensing, remote communication, remote regulation, remote control and other remote functions. It can track the peak and valley curve of the power grid, guide the device to automatically charge and discharge, and upload the monitoring information of the high-voltage direct-mounted energy storage to the duty room on the second floor of the 110kV buck station and the central control center of the office building.

3.site test

On April 18, 2024, a system off-grid emergency test was carried out on site, and the test results proved that the emergency energy storage device can meet the off-grid start-up function in the case of power loss in the coal mine. At the same time, according to the above debugging results, when the emergency energy storage power supply device is put into operation, the main fan can be started and the auxiliary shaft hoist can be started and run, and the main fan can be stable while the auxiliary shaft hoist can be steadily lifted in the case of entering the shaft, so as to ensure the underground personnel to ascend the shaft.

FGI's stationary emergency power storage system is of great significance in coal mine applications. This system not only improves the stability and reliability of the power supply of the coal mine, ensures the continuous operation of the mine operation in emergencies, but also effectively reduces the production risks and safety hazards caused by power interruption. By using advanced energy storage technology, the system can quickly respond to power grid failures or planned power outages, providing emergency power support for coal mines, thereby ensuring the safety of miners and reducing economic losses caused by power outages.
