1. Project background
In a natural gas gathering station project of Sinopec, the bus supply lines supply power to two gas stations at 10 km and 30 km from the substation. Due to its high reactive power, the grid voltage at the station's consumer side drops, causing instability in the station's installations. Earlier, the fast-switching distribution network series compensation method of voltage compensation was used, which could not effectively solve the problem of voltage fluctuation due to its slow response speed and poor compensation effect.
2.FGI Solutions
The original reactive power compensation equipments were modified by Static Var Generator. After calculation, FGI configured one Static Var Generator(SVG)device with voltage level 10kV and capacity of 2Mvar for each of the two gas gathering stations.
Considering the characteristics of compact space, inconvenient construction, tight schedule and high wind and sand, FGI adopted the design method of on-site prefabricated cabin to reduce the construction workload and shorten the construction time as much as possible.
The prefabricated compartment adopts air conditioning to dissipate heat, which reduces the direct contact between the equipment and the outside atmosphere, prevents the influence of the outside environment on the equipment, and ensures the smooth operation of the equipment.
After Static Var Generator(SVG) is connected to the power grid, the constant assessment point voltage method is adopted to ensure that the voltage in the station is stabilized at a predetermined value and the load is smooth. It has been shown in practice that the effect of voltage stabilization in the distribution network of this project is better than that of fast switching-type distribution network string supplementation device.
3.Program Advantages
Under the premise of ensuring the stability of the power grid, it reduces the fluctuation of the load, reduces the loss of the power grid, and improves the quality of power supply of the power grid.
Configuration mode is flexible and can be equipped with various solutions according to engineering requirements, with indoor, outdoor, air-cooled, water-cooled and air-conditioned refrigeration and other structural solutions, which can meet various needs of users.
The whole machine is structurally integrated and can be directly installed without laying foundation and connecting cables, which greatly shortens the construction time.
The equipment has high protection ability and can effectively resist the environment of high wind and sand, high humidity and high salt spray.
Configured with a background management system, it realizes remote monitoring of the equipment and facilitates maintenance.
