Recently, Zhejiang Wuyi Xinyuan energy storage Power station booster station successfully connected to the grid, marking Zhejiang Province's largest single installed capacity of grid side energy storage project officially put into operation.
1.project context
With an installed capacity of 200MW / 400MWh, Xinyuan Energy storage Power Station is currently the largest grid-side energy storage project in Zhejiang Province. The station adopts liquid-cooled energy storage prefabrication technology, adopts lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system, and consists of energy storage silos and converter booster silos. The total investment of the project is 800 million yuan.
The energy storage power station is an important project to promote high-quality development, and is also an important measure for Zhejiang power grid to build a new power system and ensure the safe and stable supply of energy and power, which has been included in the "14th Five-Year Plan for New energy Storage Development of Zhejiang Province" and the 2024 "List of thousands of trillion projects for expanding effective investment in Zhejiang Province".
The electrochemical energy storage method adopted by Xinyuan energy storage station has the characteristics of fast frequency modulation rate, high precision and strong short-term power throughput capacity, which can effectively alleviate the impact of intermittent and random energy sources such as wind energy and photovoltaic energy on the power grid, and provide more abundant peak regulation means for the power grid, which is of great significance for promoting clean and low-carbon energy transformation, coping with extreme events in the power grid and ensuring energy security.
